I’m Zafer Gürel, Software Engineering Director at Constructor Tech and a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Özyeğin University, advised by Prof. Ali C. Begen. My research is on low-latency media transport, focused on Media over QUIC Transport (MOQT) and its IETF standardization.

I’m a core developer of MOQtail, an open-source MOQT library suite with a TypeScript client and a Rust relay. I also teach at Constructor University in Bremen.
